Superintendent of Education Brian Foster
Mr. Foster is a graduate from The University of Mississippi earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education and earning a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He has worked in education for over 25 years serving as a museum education director, teacher, baseball coach, academic team coach, club sponsor, bus driver, assistant principal, high school and middle school principal, Director of Curriculum, Director of Federal Programs, Director of Assessments, and Assistant Superintendent.
He has served on several MDE State-Wide committees including the assessment administrative committee that worked to set the original cut scores for the MAAP assessments and the committee to set new standards for computer and technology education in Mississippi. He served on a national panel for McGraw-Hill Education working with them on their online learning and assessment products. He has also served as an educational trainer in the area of Data Analysis and Instruction.
